# The Parallels Database — Plain-Language Edition

*Derived from `hour-ledger.md` — regenerate, do not hand-edit. Not part of the rule-11 close-package sync; regenerated at milestones. This document is the database's plain-language view: one line per recorded claim, organized by the composition's own frame. It adds nothing and decides nothing; the ledger holds every claim's evidence and open questions, and `parallels-summary.md` remains the narrative reader's map. Where this file and the ledger disagree, the ledger is right.*

*Each line carries a status word: **certified** (adopted at Moshe's word), **established** (resting on the pre-Egyptian published work), **verified** (checked at first hand in the primary edition and the Hebrew), **proposed** (entered and positionally checked), **held below entry grade**, **flagged** (staged for a ruling), or **struck, kept on record** (a failed claim retained honestly — the record of what did not survive is part of the method).*

The working database holds 242 records: 77 in the certified edition, 16 struck and kept on record, the rest proposed or staged. Ten of the fifty-four wall units carry no unit-level entry yet — those empty cells are findings for future sessions, not defects.

## Before the hours begin — the prologue

*Genesis units 1–4: Creation (Genesis 1:1-2:3); Generations of Heaven and Earth (Genesis 2:4-4:26); Book of Generations of Adam (Genesis 5:1-10:32); Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-11:9)*

- Units 1–3 each establish one of the Torah's three registers (Moshe): unified deity (1) / combinatory dialogue (2) / earthly multiplicity (3) — the warp threads tied on before any hour uses them. — proposed.
- Unit 4 (Babel) is the pivot that puts the three just-built registers to first use, compressed — not the close of the triad (Moshe refining the ledger's own prior shorthand). — proposed.
- The Egyptian side has nothing to verify Units 1–3 against, and there is a reason, not merely an absence (C, at Moshe's prompt: "the three creation units may be totally outside the Egyptian purview"). — verified.
- Hour 1 supplies the target practice for the already-logged anti-mortuary polemic , independent of hour 11. — proposed.

- Structural function match, First Gate ↔ Babel: both convert an undifferentiated outside into a bounded inside, through irreversible divine speech, sealing off retreat (Moshe's question; Claude's reading — certification o. — proposed.
- The two compositions' fixed points run opposite: Gates anchored West (doubly marked at the entrance), Genesis prologue recurrently East (Moshe). — proposed.
- Unit 3 pre-names Babel and Shinar, and pre-establishes plural tongues and a division-of-the-earth notice, before Unit 4 tells its own story of either (Moshe supplying the text directly). — proposed.
- The diurnal/historical distinction is grammatically encoded at each composition's own threshold, not only thematic (Moshe). — proposed.
